On the hillside opposite the entrance to the old cemetery and St. Bartholomew’s Church, resting on a mighty round column of stone and a broad plinth, is a statue of St. Anne. Its dark mass of quartz stands out against the sky, rising above the tall grass or, depending on the season, a shining white down of snow. It dates back to the second half of the 16th century and portrays Our Lady’s mother, with Our Lady and Jesus Christ.
